Becky Brassfield has over 20 years of dance training and performance experience. She danced professionally with multiple companies in the Fredericksburg and Richmond areas, as well as in a music video with the artist Brassie. Becky also has experience as a professional choreographer, dance teacher, and musical director. Additionally, she has been an active member in community theatre the past 3 years. Her most notable choreography credit is Singin’ in the Rain, where she also starred as Kathy Selden. Other favorite past roles include Cinderella in Into the Woods, Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, and Honey in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?. When she isn’t choreographing or performing, Becky enjoys developing her skills as a stage manager and ukulele player.
Alexis Hinton is a recent graduate of New York University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre and a minor in Child and Adolescent Mental Studies. At NYU, she studied several acting techniques including Meisner and Strasberg/Method acting. Her classes consisted of scene study, movement (Williamson and Suzuki), voice and speech, accents and dialects, script analysis, devised theater, stage combat, and clown. She has also studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City, Stonestreet Studios, and attended the Governor’s School for Performing Arts at Radford University. Additionally, Alexis has had the opportunity to volunteer with the Culpeper Middle and High Schools working on sound production, offering acting coaching, and judging one-act competitions. She has also appeared in a few commercials and performed in local productions. Recent stage credits include Crystal in Little Shop of Horrors and Rapunzel in Into the Woods. When she is not acting or performing, you can find her cuddling her cats or binge watching reality TV.
Abby Jenkins is a local actress/freelance artist from a Culpeper, VA and she is thrilled to be joining Luminary Theater as a Company Member. She has performed in over 22 productions over the last 6 years, studied at VCU Arts, and received an Associate of Science degree from Bluefield University in 2021. Abby enjoys being part of anything art related and always finds her self coming back to theater. She has performed at various theaters in the NOVA area including Hope Theater, Woodberry Forest School, Storyteller Studio, and LOW players. While she mainly can be seen on stage performing, she also enjoys being apart of tech crew and she made her directorial debut in May of 2024!
Aroyia Jones is delighted to be collaborating with Luminary Theatre Company! She is an actress and model with over ten years of experience, based in the DMV area. She recently performed in The Little Shop of Horrors and various fashion shows. In her free time, she enjoys nail artistry, photography, and other creative pursuits; Aroyia is dedicated to honing her skills both on and off stage. She finds relaxation and tranquility while traveling and hiking.
Jeff Kyer, II is excited to join Luminary Theater Company and take part in bringing professional theater to our region of Virginia! Jeff brings a wealth of vocal experience having served for many years in various choirs and worship teams, he has also served as a Worship Director and Leader throughout Fredericksburg. He also brings significant experience in the performing arts and has performed in theaters around Fredericksburg over the last several years including Riverside Center for the Performing Arts and Lake of the Woods Players. His most recent and notable theater credits include Joseph in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”, Gomez Addams in “The Addams Family Musical”, and The Baker in “Into the Woods”. Jeff is a proud husband to his wife Keiko and a father to 3 wonderful teenagers. I know what you are thinking, is he old enough to have 3 teenagers! Jeff Currently works for the United States Postal Service as the Director, Change Management at Headquarters in Washington, DC.
Anna Sammel is thrilled to make her debut with Luminary Theater! Some of her favorite acting credits include: Audrey in “Little Shop of Horrors” (Lake of the Woods Players), “Dragons Love Tacos” (Virginia Repertory Theater), and Jackie-O in “The House of Yes” (Fredericksburg Theater Ensemble)! Anna is a professional violinist, but when she’s not performing, you can find her playing with her cat, watching movies, or cooking.
